Open House: Part 1

I know it’s long over due… but I finally found time to take pictures of our house.  Yes, there is more to the house than the nursery.  Sometimes I’m amazed by that too since I spend so much time in it!

Anyway, check out the new “Our Home” tab.

The page is still a work in progress, but so far I have pictures of the first floor rooms posted (maybe I’ll get the upstairs clean this weekend, so you can see the rest).  If a whole weekend is too long to wait check out the office/nursery (here, here, here, here, here, here,  here, and here) and the bathroom (here and here).

We have lots of plans, dreams, and ideas for our house, but everything will only happen as we save and find room for it in the budget.

At some point I would love to repaint the kitchen cabinets, add a tile back splash, and maybe repaint the walls.

We painted our living room four years ago, but we are ready for a change… We are thinking lighter colors to really open the space up and help it feel larger (20′ wide can only feel so big though).

In the dining room, we plan to add crown molding and paint the banged up $20 dining room table, so it doesn’t have to stay hidden under tablecloths.

So that’s the downstairs for the most part, minus the half bath and entry (will post those next week).

Does anybody else have cleaning to do this weekend? Or do you get all the housework done during the week so that you have the weekend to rest? That is always my goal, but it rarely happens.

Thank! It took us a year or two before we got brave enough but now we love our painted brick! We matched it to the stone used on our neighbor’s brick. I should post before and after pics. It really is a world of difference.
