Family Friday: Arms Wide Open

20120921-104824.jpg

This is my favorite picture from this week. Noah is fascinated with Buddy.  Her face lights up every time he comes in the room.  For the most part Bud tries to stay out of her way but he has really gotten all lovey dovey lately.  Which is completely not the case in the picture above.

I love the look of terror on his face.  He’s probably thinking…

“Help!  She’s after me again. Do something! Oh, wait there’s glass between us.”

Noah on the other hand…

“I’ll save you Buddy!  Why can’t I touch you?  There is some strong force that keeps me from getting to you.  I’ll keep banging and see if anything happens.”

It’s kind of fun coming up with captions.  Especially, since neither one can actually speak yet.  Well, technically Buddy will never speak but Noah is definitely working on finder her voice.

A picture is worth a thousand words right?  What do you think they might be saying to each other?  Is Buddy asking for help or giving a threatening look?  Maybe Noah is trying to devise a clever way to rescue Buddy or tormenting him because he is outside. Let me know what you think.

On a side note… I can’t believe how quickly Noah is growing.  She is pulling up on everything and looks so grown up in the outfit above.  It is definitely a delight to see more and more of her personality develop every day.

Thanks! I can’t believe her first birthday around the corner. This past week she started pointing at things wanting to know what they were. Ah! It’s all happening so fast.

Too cute. Looks like she wants to give him a big hug, but I agree, that appears to be a terrified look!
I can’t believe she is going to be one also, I remember last year when you said your water broke at work! I kept thinking that was going to happen to me, lol 😉

I’m so glad you didn’t go into labor the way I did. Although, my experience did fall a little short of my worst fears it was still a little awkward.
