Merry Christmas: Noah Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas!

We made a little video of Noah seeing her presents for the first time Christmas morning.  A way that all her family could still get to see her on Christmas.  (Warning: The above video contains images of me without any make-up or shower.  I apologize in advance if it scares you.)

We have been enjoying spending time together as a family today and hope you have been doing the same.

That was an adorable video! I love how Noah was not about to let go of her new crayons! I also wanted to let you know that I saw your post about finishing your home study. That’s great news – I’m so proud of you both. Are you learning some Spanish, too? I’m sure it’s a different dialect in Peru than we’re used to here in TX where I’m from. Just know that you all are in my prayers. Happy New Year!

Thank you! She is in love with her crayons. Not so much coloring yet but just taking them out and putting them back in the box.
We are thrilled to have finished our homestudy and begin moving on towards the next step. We bought Rosetta Stone to help us learn Spanish and plan to really dive into after the new year. We both took Spanish in high school and ML in college but have forgotten almost all of it so it. Noah is already learning some words and phrases in Spanish and will definitely be able to pick it up quicker than us.
Happy New Year to you too and thanks for keeping us in your prayers.

As soon as you start back with your Spanish lessons, you’ll see it’s just like riding a bike – you’ll both start picking it up as if you were in class just yesterday. You’re right about Noah, too. She’ll start picking up the language faster than both of you especially if you speak it to her and each other for practice. “Noah, quiere una copa de leche o jugo?” Start calling ML Miguel Lucas and your name is almost the same except that the emphasis is on the last syllable and it’s more like this – Krys-tahl. Noah will think you’ve both lost your minds! Have fun!

Kelly, we had a wonderful Christmas! I hope yours was wonderful too and that maybe it came with a peaceful nights sleep for you.
