I’m Back

Source: ffffound.com via Krystle @ Color Transformed Family on Pinterest

Last week I took a short break from blogging while Noah and I made a tour of all the grandparent’s and great grandparent’s houses.  We had lots of fun and enjoyed seeing all the family … minus the part where Noah caught an awful cold with a horrible cough.  It always seems to happen around the most inopportune time.

Anyway, we are back home now and getting back in the swing of things.  If everything goes as planned this week (when does it ever) I hope to share pictures of our new refrigerator and our latest budget breakdown. #WeAreUnderBudget

Also, in the works for future posts are the demolition of our counters. installation of our counters, another adoption update, and a review of a book that author Shannon O’Donnell sent me an advanced copy of.  So watch out!  We are rocking and rolling here in 2013.  And who knows what other random, crazy life happening details I might feel compelled to share with you.

Transformed Sundays: Little Drummer Boy

Transformed Sundays… Christmas Edition

The other day as I was driving to Whole Foods Little Drummer Boy came on the radio.  It is one of my favorite Christmas songs.  Every time I hear it it makes me think of my grandmother because it was her favorite too!  When I was younger I liked it because it was so much fun singing, “pa- rum pa pa-rum”.  But now that I am older I love Little Drummer Boy because of the meaning… very similar to the story of the widow’s mite who gave all she had to God.

The little drummer boy had nothing to offer.  Nothing!  Except for the gift of music that God had blessed him with.  So he gave it all… all his talent to God as a gift.  That my friend is what God desires of us!  For us to bring Him glory by giving him our all.

The video above is not the rendition of Little Drummer Boy that I heard on the radio.  It is however a very cool rock version of it by Sean Quigley that has gone viral on YouTube.  Go ahead and take a listen!
